Morning everyone!
TGIS = Thank God It's Saturday. Saturday's here mean errands, yard work but mainly family time since my DH works during the week. It's our 'play day' with us young ones and today we are painting our new porch. LOL Still qualifies as family time, yes? I foresee the end result with three kids near drenched in paint but with huge smiles. All will be right in their world by the end of today.
Writing...haven't done a lot recently. As many know I lost my father on July 29th, unexpected and so shocking I passed out. I still find it hard to believe and wake some days sure I imagined it all. He was never sick a day in his life besides the odd winter cold and unbeknownst to him or us, he had a brain aneurism. I take solace in the fact that he felt no pain, so the Doc's tell us, because of how quick it was.
I haven't been able to write, which I believe is something I have to work through and I will. It's all in the process of the healing and the like. BUt I have nearly completed edits for Whispers Publishing for my upcoming Contemporary, LAST MAN STANDING. It's a book that I had a lot of fun writing, and even more so adding to the story/characters which was suggested by my editor.
In LMS, Jazz comes face-to-face with the high school boyfriend who...shall we say...never
treated her the way he should have and she's hoping that seeing him again after a decade, she'll get over the hurt she felt then and move on. She never expects, however, her best friend (and also a guy she dumped for her highschool boyfriend years ago) and boss, Ryder, to tell her that he's never stopped loving her. Jazz is shocked by this and though she's been attracted to Ryder, she believes their friendship is more important than anything else.
Imagine though, an old high school flame coming back into your life, the one you never really got over... Let's hope Jazz realizes what's in front of her...right...? :)
SO, LMS is nearing edit completion. I haven't recv'd a release date yet, but I will keep everyone posted.
